The Certificate of Relaxation Massage provides the student with adequate knowledge and ability to perform relaxation massage. Completion of this level may also allow you to work in spas and beauty salons, depending on their hiring requirements. Because the College has found that demands are often greater on students with families and full-time jobs, it is recommended that students in these situations consider completing the course over two years.

Students who choose Distance Education control the time required to adequately cover and complete the course curriculum. However, there are many mandatory requirements:

  • attendance at one, two-day orientation seminar (occur Friday to Sunday once per month)
  • attendance at 12 regularly scheduled three-day seminars
  • attendance at two, one-day workshops
  • participation in clinical application
  • participation in online classes on Wednesday evenings

To assist learning away from class, it is suggested that students organize study groups. These supportive groups act as an avenue for clarification of readings and assignments.

Please note that due to the Government of Manitoba International Education Act (2016), Wellington College is not allowed to accept International Students at this time. You must first become a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada to enroll in our programs.

We totally get that our students are not produced from a cookie-cutter, so we would love to dicuss your options for study. Contact our Student Liaison and Admissions Coordinator, Brianna Blaire at brianna@wellingtoncollege.com should you have any questions at all!
